In some ways working with volunteers is exactly like working with staff members. In many ways, working with volunteers is nothing like working with staff members.

Volunteers come to your organization for different reasons, seeking different experiences. Some come because a friend asked them. Some come because you asked them. Some come because they believe in your cause. Some come to gain new knowledge and skills. Regardless of what brings volunteers to you, knowing how to fully utilize their time and talent is key to ensuring their commitment to your organization and their ability to help move your mission forward.

Participants will gain insights into what motivates volunteers and collect tips and tools to use in your own organization to recruit, train and empower volunteers to make a difference.
